Weekly Winners - heat wave edition

Weekly Winners courtesy of the Sarcastic Mom! Find more great photos and great people here!

It warmed way up this week. Our lovely snow is all gone, leaving behind it's evil ucky sloppy slushy twin.

All the frost and snow has disappeared from the trees. My gorgeous winter landscape has become a grey and ugly and depressing landscape.

Some of these photos have already appeared this week on my blog. Sorry if you have already seen them!

last night our power went out. Right in the middle of Kung Fu Panda (we didn't get to finish watching it until this morning. Great movie!) And since we had candles burning, and my camera was right there, I did a little tossing...

  1. That last photo is my favourite, lovely! The snow is gone in Belgium too, and now we're back to rain and greyness! Yuck! Like the melting snow, sad and ucky and wet! I need to take down my tree too but I love the lights so much. I'm still not ready to let it go just yet!
I love your questions in the previous post!

I {puffy heart} that last one! But, "chipping away" is awesome for its perspective and angle.

Beautiful shots, especially that last one. So much slushy wetness, huh, after all that melt?

I love snow, but the melting process sucks, doesn't it?

  13. Melting snow is ugly snow, you are right about that except on the side of the mountain. That is still pretty. I don't think I would ever tire of that view.

And finally I got the duck footed man picture. For some reason I couldn't see the footprints or figure them out until I saw them in the picture posted today. duh sometimes it doesn't pay to be blonde. lol

  14. It's so sad when the snow melts, especially the aftermath. These are wonderful photos, Julie. The first and last ones are my favorites, and I just love the candle shots.
