It warmed way up this week. Our lovely snow is all gone, leaving behind it's evil ucky sloppy slushy twin.
All the frost and snow has disappeared from the trees. My gorgeous winter landscape has become a grey and ugly and depressing landscape.

these were almost completely buried at one point
last night our power went out. Right in the middle of Kung Fu Panda (we didn't get to finish watching it until this morning. Great movie!) And since we had candles burning, and my camera was right there, I did a little tossing...
Just move the "n" in Santa, and you have Satan...
That last photo is my favourite, lovely! The snow is gone in Belgium too, and now we're back to rain and greyness! Yuck! Like the melting snow, sad and ucky and wet! I need to take down my tree too but I love the lights so much. I'm still not ready to let it go just yet!

ReplyDeleteMelting snow is ugly snow, you are right about that except on the side of the mountain. That is still pretty. I don't think I would ever tire of that view.
ReplyDeleteAnd finally I got the duck footed man picture. For some reason I couldn't see the footprints or figure them out until I saw them in the picture posted today. duh sometimes it doesn't pay to be blonde. lol
It's so sad when the snow melts, especially the aftermath. These are wonderful photos, Julie. The first and last ones are my favorites, and I just love the candle shots.
