Through a glass Weirdly
My favorite chunk of mountain around Tucson -- that notch, there to the left.
The Sun Also Sets
East End
The Top Hat (my lovely daughter) smacking some skulls. It's a school play, not phone camera fights in the park stuff.

The graffiti on this train said "Im Rick James Bitch". Perhaps someone needs both a couple apostrophe and a shot of self-esteem. Or a comma.

He's not sneezing. He's just a dork.
(We walked the dogs. It was more of an adventure than we were expecting. Lots of great photos of the action here and here.)

I got out of the shower. I noticed this drop of water (I didn't taste it or anything, so I am just assuming it's water. There are three kids and two dogs in the house, but this leaf is five and a half feet off the floor...Let's just call it water.). I messed around with the flash and the nature macro and macro settings on my camera...(isn't that kinda greedy, having both macro and nature macro settings, when some cameras don't even have one?).
Don't mess with Mesquite. Trees, that is.
They can be quite painful. I know this because Abe the WonderDog dragged me under a low-hanging one just before he stepped on a snake and got attacked by a pit bull. Abe and I sometimes have rather adventurous walks. (I know. I used this line earlier this week, but I like it.)

Weekly Winners is the fevered brainchild of Lotus. Lots more weekly winners, and quite likely shots of her adorable son's bottom, here!
Oh, what cool pictures! The last two are just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteVery good post. Have a great day!
(My post)
I can't see your first two pictures. I love the "water" drops.
ReplyDeleteHey, Tasina...Blogger has been acting up lately...And it was water! It was water!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I posted those first photos again...I hope they stay this time...stupid blogger.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the first two, either, but I do love that supposed water drop. Playing around with the macro thing is my favorite, too, probably because if you gave me a "real" camera where I had to do it myself I'd have zero clue. Love all these shots!
ReplyDeletereally nice pics..
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteI am loving your photos. All of them.
I love your dog though. He looks like he has caught the wind in his mouth!
The B&W! Amazing and the drop of water and the Tess art. Wonderful. Different perspectives and an escape from my mundane.
PS Just wanted to say, thanks for all the gorgeous comments you have been leaving for me about my Ivy girl.

ReplyDeleteLovely shots.
ReplyDeleteThe plant? It is transpiring, so it's just excess water. Is it a philodendron? Nearly impossible to kill, if it is!
Woman with a Hatchet
Hey, Woman with a Hatchet -- it's still alive, after being in my house for a year or so, so it is impossible to kill. Because I kill everything.
ReplyDeleteI can see the first pictures now and I'm glad! Tess is very talented.
ReplyDeleteNice! I love the water drops!
ReplyDeleteThe shots of the sky are gorgeous and the leaf water drop is neato.
ReplyDeleteI love the train shots, too! And a random Dave Chapelle funny does my heart good. :-)
I'm Rick James, Beeotch!
Love these pics - the sunsets I see all the time (in phx)..for some reason the kiddies' pics really moved me. Took me back to when I was a youngster ;) Are you in Tucson??? Hmmm. Not sure if I knew this or not.
ReplyDeleteYay, the ones I couldn't see before are now there, and I *love* the first one!
ReplyDeleteIf you feel like playing along, you've been tagged!
